It's Thursday. I'm wearing pink. It's been too long and I think I missed it.
Zooey loves pink as well. I mean, she is my dog.
I'm Wearing:
Top: Loft
Skirt: Target
Shoes: Armani
Belt: Primark
Headband: CVS
So who knows where the quote is from?

How cute are these? I bought them on sale in London from Monsoon. Actually, I wore them to Thibault's ball!
I'm
wearing:
Oh, and in case you're curious about the title- it's from one of my all time favorite movies. I'll give you the movie quote and you tell me the movie title. Go!
"So then Bianca says that I was right. That she didn't wear the Kenneth Coles with that dress because she thought it was mixing genres. Right? And the fact that I noticed -- and this is a direct quote 'really meant something.'"
Armed with a cute outfit, a sweet boy and Mr. Pointy (aka my camera), I entered the roller disco ready for anything. As I've described to my kitchen mates, going to the roller disco was sort of like attending an 8 year old birthday party...with alcohol.
The music was energetic and fun (Donna, you would have loved it), proving that my listening to the 13 going on 30 soundtrack pre-disco was a good idea. They played a mix of 70s and 80s favorites perfect for singing along while skating.
Seeing everyone's creative costumes was probably the best part- I loved that boys weren't afraid to wear short-shorts over tights (gasp!) and that many girls wore colorful tutus. It was like an American Apparel explosion. I started to recognize my cheap pink tights from Primark on many other skaters, both male and female.
Though many people got pretty drunk, I remained conservative and had one beer. Seriously, I was already scared enough about being on wheels. I will admit, it got a little sloppy when I spilled half of my beer on myself, not due to drunkenness, but due to wrist guard induced bottle gripping impairment. Hard plastic = not helpful.
Would I do it again? Probably not, but it's definitely something you should do once. It's safe to say I was enticed to leave at just 10:30 by my favorite chocolate ice cream . This girl cannot refuse Sommerfield's chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup and chocolate shavings. Seriously, all that goodness is prepackaged and soooo wonderful!
So, this is what I ended up wearing to the roller disco last night. I made a quick trip to Primark during my lunch break and picked up 4 accessories (3 for me, 1 for Thibs) for just 5 quid. By combining 3 new pieces with things I already had, I think I came up with a pretty awesome outfit!
Today I turned 22. I attempted to stay awake in class, read about a bazillion of your blog posts, skyped with a bunch of great folks and continually checked my Facebook page for birthday greetings. And guess what? The sun decided to show it's face today- it was a birthday miracle!
Although I didn't want to make my own birthday plans, I allowed my friends to make some for me. Lynn made dinner reservations at a Thai restaurant, and I insisted we all dress up. Here's what I wore:
A special thanks to Lynn, Maria, Allison, Rachel and Joe for celebrating with me tonight. Dinner was fabulous- champagne, curry, fortune cookies...and we got a 2-for-1 special!
Unfortunately, I think I had an allergic reaction to coconut, as I now have white and red bumps on my back and...err, derriere. Hopefully they'll be gone before I get to Scotland.
Must.
Not.
Scratch.
Please can Europe be EXACTLY like this? I want the bike, and the dessert and the European boyfriend. And the balloons. Please, please please?
Happy Pink Thursday, everyone! Does this quote look familiar? It's from Audrey Hepburn and is definitely one of my favorites. (I even featured it in a previous Pink Thursday post.) It was "doodled" specifically for me by the lovely notebook doodles, who graciously offered to create 100 doodles for her readers.
Make sure you check out her blog- it's full of inspiration. You can see the other 99 doodles here.
...and when I say hot pink hair I mean "hot" pink hair, as well as "hot pink" hair, if you know what I mean! Not everyone can pull off this look, but my dear blog friend, Andrea, definitely nailed it. Thanks for the Pink Thursday submission!

Happy Pink Thursday, muffins!
Megan, my fabulous roommate from last year, sent me this photo of her bio notes. I think it's particularly fabulous, and very fitting, because Megan is coming up to visit this weekend.
I miss her tons, and I'm so excited for a great weekend filled with food, costumes, coloring, the mustache game, debauchery, shopping, pumpkins and reading some very interesting poetry from our favorite 15 year old- don't ask.
Anyway- I hope you all have a great weekend and a fantastic Halloween. Be safe and have fun. Oh, and send me/post your costume photos- I want to see what you all come up with!

From the press release:
"A unique celebration of style with substance, the world-leading White Cashmere Collection is crafted entirely in 100 per cent pure, soft and luxurious sheets of Cashmere Bathroom Tissue, Canada’s best-selling brand. The Cashmere BT (bathroom tissue) Couture collection also heralds the return of limited-edition Pink Cashmere, a fund- and awareness-raiser for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, with twenty-five cents from the sale of every package of Pink going directly to the Foundation."
I love this idea! It's sort of like Project Runway, but for a cause. If we didn't go through toilet paper so quickly in my 4-girl apartment, I'd try to make a dress of my own.
Too bad this campaign is only in Canada. It's times like these that I wish I lived in Victoria with Jenni.
Props to Paula for sharing this.
