Fashionably Late: Nordstrom

This Post is Brought to You by Nordstrom. DSC_0045 Last night, Eric and I attended the Nordstrom Fashionably Late event at the Liberty Hotel. Though I'd heard about the epic fashion shows that go on at the Liberty, this was my first time actually attending one.

The space itself was amazing. My first thought when I walked in was "I want to get married here". The hotel is actually an old jail that's been converted into a hotel with an excellent bar area with multi levels, perfect for a fashion show!

DSC_0035Before the show started, Nordstrom makeup artists were on hand doing mini makeovers featuring the latest beauty trends. Apparently, red lips are very in this season, so my question was, how is this different than every other season? Aren't red lips always in? Apparently, this season's red lip is "creamier" than in the past.

DSC_0039In addition to the creamy red lip, winged eyeliner is back and bolder than ever!

DSC_0057The whole event was like a fashion symposium, even before the actual show started. Eric snapped this picture by accident and says it's his favorite from the night.

Faux fur and leather were a huge part of the show, as were super tall booties and heels with spike details. Skirt lengths were more modest than I expected, making them totally wearable for the average person.

Special thanks to Eric for playing the role of photographer!
