Congratulations to Marianne- she's the lucky winner of a pair of boots from Shoeline, worth up to $200.

Thanks everyone for participating and for giving your feedback on my 7 looks. It's exciting to note that your overall favorite outfit was A Twist on the Tutu, which was probably one of my favorite outfits as well.

Didn't win this time? Well, there's still some good news: Shoeline is offering 15% off Born, Sofft, Softspots, Korkease, Carolina, and Double H boots. Check out their Facebook page on Monday for a special coupon code!

PS- thanks to a suggestion from a Shoeline Facebook fan, I invested in some leather lotion and protector spray to keep my boots looking clean and new. By the end of the 7 days, my boots were starting to get covered in salt, and I felt a little uncomfortable wearing them with nice outfits.

Let me tell you, this stuff works wonders and is a necessity for anyone that deals with harsh winter weather. Get your own here for around $15. It's totally worth it, trust me.

PPS- Another exciting review and giveaway will be up on Wednesday!

Just a little reminder...

1 Shoe, 7 Looks: French Kissed

image from farm6.static.flickr.comThere's something special about this outfit, and it's not the shirt. This beret is practically vintage, as I wore it in my 1st grade fashion show. All 60+ 1st graders had to dress up as a person from a different country and walk the "runway".  I was a "Scottish Lassie," and I wore this beret because of pattern on the bow.

image from farm6.static.flickr.comThis time, I took a bit more of a French angle. Do you like the look? I thought it was a great look for a day of brunching and running errands with Eric.

image from farm6.static.flickr.com image from farm6.static.flickr.comWow, today marks my final 1 Shoe, 7 Looks outfit. It's definitely been a challenge to plan 7 outfits around 1 pair of shoes, but I did it. Next week will probably involve less creative outfits planned around snow boots- ahh!

Outfit Details: Sweater, Top, Jeanse- Loehmann's; Pearls- gift; Beret-?; Boots- Born Gwynne c/o Shoeline.

1 Shoe, 7 Looks: Birthday Sequins

image from farm6.static.flickr.com23 years old and still playing in the snow...only now, I'm doing it in sequins! To be quite honest, today's snowstorm made it difficult to dress up at all for work, so I changed into this outfit when I got home post-storm.

image from farm6.static.flickr.comI will say, taking photos in the snow is pretty difficult. First of all, try as I might, I could not stop from sinking! I'm pretty sure there's at least a foot of snow in my little backyard, and it's the light, fluffy kind, so there was no chance of staying on top. I might need to invest in a shovel if I continue to take outfit photos there.

image from farm6.static.flickr.comI'm hoping to wear this outfit to my birthday dinner tonight with Eric, but if it stays yucky outside, I might opt for pants.

image from farm6.static.flickr.comEric refers to this skirt as my "show choir" skirt, which means he's not the biggest fan. The last time I wore it was while working at the eBay fashion/bill me later booth at BlogHer. I reprimanded Eric for his opinion of my skirt while we were in an elevator together, and the other passengers (stylish ladies themselves) wholeheartedly agreed with me. In true Man Repeller form, I'm not going to let his opinion change my mind. So there!

Take one favorite dress, add a favorite belt and a comfy sweater...

...and voila!

Oh, and today is my birthday, so expect an exciting outfit recap tomorrow...possibly involving sequins.

Outfit Details: Dress- French Connection; Sweater- Swapped; Tights- Gift; Belt- Primark; Boots- Born Gwynne c/o Shoeline.

1 Shoe, 7 Looks: Tell me about it...Stud!

image from farm6.static.flickr.comToday's outfit was inspired by none other than Sandy from Grease. No, I'm not talking about the poodle skirt wearing, pom-pom carrying, good girl, I'm talking about "Bad Sandy." You know, the one that only appears in the last scene of the movie?

image from farm6.static.flickr.comOf course, in true Alana form, I needed to add a little "good girl" to the look, thus the dottie tights and the pearls.

image from farm6.static.flickr.comThe outfit was surprisingly comfortable, despite the bad weather. Although the top looks like a structured blazer, it's made out of jersey material and feels just like a sweatshirt.

Outfit Details: Jacket- Kensie Girl via Loehmann's, Skirt- Pink Zone; Tights- White House, Black Market; Pearls- gift; Boots- Born Gwynne c/o Shoeline

1 Shoe, 7 Looks: Almost Chanel

image from farm6.static.flickr.comFirst of all, let me just say how hard it was to get dressed today. Of course, I wanted to wear something cute, but I also wanted to wear something weather appropriate. Today, it snowed, sleeted and was extremely icy. It was cold, slippery and disgusting.

image from farm6.static.flickr.comWhen the weather is gross, I tend to lean towards pants, especially if they're in the denim family, so I opted for casual on the bottom, fancy on the top. Sort of like a  flipped around mullet...except not gross.

This jacket is a favorite of mine- it reminds me of vintage Chanel suits and Jackie-O. Unfortunately, the strings easily get caught on things and create awkward pulled areas.

I apologize for the photo quality- taking photos outside was NOT an option today, so I opted for some post-work indoor photos in my tiny apartment. Finding a place for the tripod and dealing with poor lighting made photos...less than perfect. Just fitting myself in the shot was difficult! Well, I guess it's more about the outfit, and less about the photography in this case.

Outfit Details: Jacket-Kensie Girl via Loehmann's; Jeans- Banana Republic, Boots- Born Gwynne c/o Shoeline; Belt- Primark; Necklace- gift.

1 Shoe, 7 Looks: A Twist on the Tutu

image from farm6.static.flickr.comLight colors, billowy layers and a delicate necklace- who knew they'd go so well with chunky, studded boots?

image from farm6.static.flickr.com image from farm6.static.flickr.comI felt a little silly wearing such a springy outfit in the winter, but it was a must! I wanted to pair something super girly with these hardcore boots, and this is what I came up with. Do you like?

image from farm6.static.flickr.comA special thanks to Andy for taking my pictures today. He suggested I stand on the table so it would look like a runway.

Outfit Details: Necklace and Skirt- Forever21; Shirt and Belt- H&M; Sweater- Loft; Born Gwynne Boots c/o Shoeline.

1 Shoe, 7 Looks: Cozy Cute

image from farm6.static.flickr.comLook  1: Cozy Cute

Occasion: Brunch with family, grocery shopping, errands

Today's 1 Shoe, 7 Looks combo needed to be comfy enough to get through a day of errands, but still look cute enough to do the boots justice. Let's just say today involved around 2+ miles of walking on brick sidewalks, through un-plowed slush and across icy patches. I'm happy to announce that while my shoulders were sore from carrying too many groceries, my feet felt warm and comfy the whole time.

This is my new favorite sweater- I got it on sale at Banana a few weeks ago. It's super warm and I love the cowl neck. It's sort of like wearing a built-in scarf. It also occasionally catches falling tomatoes. Gross.

image from farm6.static.flickr.comI can't wait to style these boots again. I have a new tulle skirt that definitely needs to be worn, and these are the shoes to wear it with!
